چکیده
Wheat stripe rust (caused by Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici) is a major disease that damages wheat plants and affects yield all over the world. In recent years, became problem in Egypt. New races appeared caused breakdowns resistant genotypes. To improve resistance Egyptian genotypes, new sources of are urgently needed. research, set 95 genotypes collected from 19 countries, including Egypt, were evaluated for their against race(s) under field conditions two growing seasons 2018/2019 2019/2020. A high genetic variation was found among tested Single marker analysis conducted using subset 71 424 diversity array technology (DArT) markers, well distributed across genome. Out 13 stable markers identified significantly associated with both years (p-value ? 0.05). By sequence DArT chromosomal position significant detected, nearby gene models identified. Two on chromosomes 5A 5B to be located within functionally annotated plants. These could used marker-assisted selection conditions. German carrying targeted allele

Mapping genes for resistance to stripe rust in spring wheat landrace PI 480035
Stripe rust caused by Puccinia striiformis Westend. f. sp. tritici Erikks. is an economically important disease of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). Hexaploid spring wheat landrace PI 480035 was highly resistant to stripe rust in the field in Washington during 2011 and 2012. The objective of this research was to identify quantitative trait loci (QTL) for stripe rust resistance in PI 480035. A sprin...
متن کاملGenetic analysis and molecular mapping of wheat genes conferring resistance to the wheat stripe rust and barley stripe rust pathogens.
ABSTRACT Stripe rust is one of the most important diseases of wheat and barley worldwide. On wheat it is caused by Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici and on barley by P. striiformis f. sp. hordei Most wheat genotypes are resistant to P. striiformis f. sp. hordei and most barley genotypes are resistant to P. striiformis f. sp. tritici. To determine the genetics of resistance in wheat to P. stri...
متن کاملUnlocking Diversity in Germplasm Collections via Genomic Selection: A Case Study Based on Quantitative Adult Plant Resistance to Stripe Rust in Spring Wheat.
Harnessing diversity from germplasm collections is more feasible today because of the development of lower-cost and higher-throughput genotyping methods. However, the cost of phenotyping is still generally high, so efficient methods of sampling and exploiting useful diversity are needed. Genomic selection (GS) has the potential to enhance the use of desirable genetic variation in germplasm coll...

متن کاملTranscriptome Analysis Provides Insights into the Mechanisms Underlying Wheat Plant Resistance to Stripe Rust at the Adult Plant Stage
Stripe rust (or yellow rust), which is caused by Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici (Pst), is one of the most devastating wheat diseases worldwide. The wheat cultivar Xingzi 9104 (XZ) is an elite wheat germplasm that possesses adult plant resistance (APR), which is non-race-specific and durable. Thus, to better understand the mechanism underlying APR, we performed transcriptome sequencing of w...
